Meet Coach Michal

GREETINGS TO HASC RUNNERS!
I am so excited that so many of you are joining the Jerusalem Marathon this year for an incredible cause that is so close to my heart. I have been working for the last 12 summers at Camp HASC as a Speech Therapist. I can honestly say that I've grown, both professionally and personally, from these summer experiences and count down the months to returning back to the place we all call "Heaven on Earth".

It also happens to be the place where I became inspired to run my first race ever- a 5K down in Monticello. Suri Granek A"H, the therapy Clinical Coordinator and friend, encouraged me to run that race with her and I haven't stopped since. Running has taught me so much- in terms of "digging deep" and then even "deeper", to reach past my comfort level and to achieve new heights. Being in Camp HASC, running also took on a greater meaning. I found myself running for the children who couldn't and appreciating every step I took, knowing there were many who only dreamt of it.

I have run 7 full (26.2) marathons (i know- many of u are saying "never again" but I warn you...it IS addictive!). This marathon is a special treat since it combines my three real passions- 1. Jews exercising, 2. for the incredible children of HASC 3. and  in Jersualem- the holiest and most magical city in the world!  I am so excited to be part of this process.  Feel free to contact me any time with your questions..and I will do my best to answer. We also have a physical therapist par exellance; Ronit Weinberger- who is standing by to guide us and "therapize" our sore muscles and prevent possible injuries.

Feel free to email her directly by clicking here.

Looking forward to gearing up with you for the race and meeting you all G-d willing...THIS year in Jerusalem:)
